Ingredients

  • Grains/Fermentables
  • 9 lbs (4.08 kg) German Pilsner 2-Row (2 °L)
  • 1 lbs (0.45 kg) Vienna Malt (4 °L)
  • Hops
  • 1 oz (28.35 g) Saaz (Czech) Pellet 3% AA (Boil - 75 mins)
  • 1 oz (28.35 g) Tettnanger Pellet 4.4% AA (Boil - 25 mins)
  • 1 oz (28.35 g) Perle Pellet 10.4% AA (Boil - 10 mins)
  • Yeast
  • Southern German Lager Yeast (Whitelabs WLP838) (Liquid)

Directions

Temperature Step: Mash at 150 °F (66 °C) for 75 minutes.

Recommended Sparge: 170 °F (77 °C)

Hold in primary fermentor for 7 days at 53 °F (12 °C).

Transfer to secondary fermentor for 28 days at 34 °F (1 °C).

Allow to carbonate and age for 14 days at 64 °F (18 °C).
