Recipe Description
Session IPA Goal: to see what we should use for a house blend of hops.
Ingredients
- Grains/Fermentables
- 7 lbs (3.18 kg) Belgian Pilsner 2-Row (2 °L)
- 2 lbs (0.91 kg) Crystal 40 (35 °L)
- Hops
- 0.5 oz (14.17 g) Galena Leaf 14.1% AA (Boil - 60 mins)
- 0.5 oz (14.17 g) Belma Leaf 11.6% AA (Boil - 15 mins)
- 0.5 oz (14.17 g) Belma Leaf 11.6% AA (Dry Hop)
- 0.5 oz (14.17 g) Calypso Leaf 16% AA (Boil - 15 mins)
- 0.5 oz (14.17 g) Calypso Leaf 16% AA (Dry Hop)
- 0.5 oz (14.17 g) Cascade Leaf 8.5% AA (Boil - 15 mins)
- 0.5 oz (14.17 g) Cascade 8.5% AA (Dry Hop)
- Yeast
- California Ale Yeast (Whitelabs WLP001) (Liquid)
Directions
Infusion Step: Mash at 152 °F (67 °C) with 4 gal (15.14 L) of water for 90 minutes.
Recommended Sparge: 160 °F (71 °C)
Hold in primary fermentor for 14 days at 69 °F (21 °C).
Allow to carbonate and age for 14 days at 40 °F (4 °C).
