Braggot or malt mead is a blend of mead with barely malt. It is more mead than beer. Hops may be used as well. Both honey and beer characters should be present but balanced. The strength can vary (hydromel, standard, sack) as well as the overall sweetness (dry, semi-sweet, sweet). They can be both sparkling, petillant (low-carbonation) or still.

The styles listed are based on the Brewers Association 2011 Style Guidelines published by Brewers Association with changes.
