Hippocras or spiced grape mead is a sub-style of Pyment or grape mead. Additional spices such as mulling spices are used to give the mead additional character. The strength can vary (hydromel, standard, sack) as well as the overall sweetness (dry, semi-sweet, sweet). They can be both sparkling, petillant (low-carbonation) or still.
