Notes From March 24, 2013 (Brewing)
Gravity Reading: 1.071
This was the first brew that I used a yeast starter. First gen wyeast 1056. Woke up at 3am to start the inoculation process. good strong visible ferment, shook it and tis was good. Another first was I ground all the hops in a coffee grinder to insure maximum flavor profiling. I have a good feeling about this one, I give you my utmost blessing beer!
Notes From April 8, 2013 (Dry Hopping)
Gravity Reading: 1.011
I decided to dry hop this one with a bag this time, I added three SS bolts to insure that it sank to the bottom. I also ground the hops, I feel like this releases the aromas and oils more than just placing the whole leaves in there. It tasted good, with notes of smokiness, chocolate tasted very alcoholic, good clean finish. I used the friendliest of hop " the kent goldens" 2 oz of kent's goldens.

I rack it into the keg with 3/4 of priming sugar. I took a sample glass for analysis. The nose is has a strong air of coffee, smoky. upon taste a bit Carmel, hops are way in back.
