Final Review
Overall I would say this beer came out as good or better than previous years. My friends, family and coworkers all enjoyed it as did I. The peppermint was not as overwhelming as it was the first time I made it. I don't think the mint leaves really added anything except more sediment so I don't think I would include that again.
Taste Notes
It's a delicious holiday beer. Not something you can drink all the time but perfect for the season and something I crave this time of year. The peppermint is cool and the chocolate is bitter. It's a great combo.

Gravity Reading: 1.064
Solid brew day with no major surprises. The gravity came out right as expected. Adding the sugars and chocolate killed the boil for a few minutes but I let it continue to make up for it. Really looking forward to this beer. It's one of my favorites to make, drink, and share.
Notes From Dec. 2, 2012 (Bottling/Kegging)
Gravity Reading: 1.018
Another fun day bottling. Gravity was kind of high but tasted good. I'm not sure the dry mint really added anything but I just love this beer.
